Welcome!
I want to congratulate you on taking the time to take care of yourself. Whether you are interested in bodywork for a specific issue or therapeutic need, or you just want to pamper yourself, you’ve come to the right place!
Drawing on my experience with numerous different bodywork styles, we will tailor a session or series of sessions that address your needs and wants, and leaves you deeply satisfied.
As a professional dancer, dance instructor, personal trainer and martial artist as well as a certified massage therapist, I have a great deal of experience in intense, focused observation of the human body. This has translated into the ability to understand what is going on at a deeper level, and to find areas that are in need of attention.

- Shiatsu:
Shiatsu is a Japanese word. It means ‘finger pressure’. A Shiatsu treatment does however incorporate the use not only of finger pressure, but also thumbs, palms, knees, forearms, elbows and feet. Pressure is applied to the areas of energy lines (meridians) to promote good health by ‘stimulating the body’s energy flow (Ki)’.
- Kiatsu:
Kiatsu is a system of treating physical illness by pressing with the fingers and extending the Ki into the subject’s body, essentially “priming the pump” in areas of energy stagnation. Much like shiatsu in application, it is more focused on restoring the natural flow of energy to allow the body’s natural healing ability a chance to do what it was designed for.
- Swedish:
Swedish massage is a relaxing style which primarily uses five types of long, flowing strokes to massage. Light touch, kneading, rhythmic tapping, compression and vibration. Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness and stress, and improving function in patients with osteoarthritis.
- Sports:
Sports Massage is the application of Massage and Stretch techniques to the muscle and connective tissues of the body to enhance athletic performance and maximize the performance of the athlete. Sports Massage increases range of movement, increases flexibility and relieves muscle soreness. It assists in injury prevention and promotes faster recovery from both training and injury. It is applied to advantage Pre-Event, Inter Event, Post Event and during Rehabilitation.
- Deep Tissue:
Deep Tissue Massage is a technique that focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue. It aims to release the chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep finger pressure on the contracted areas, either following or going across the fiber’s of the muscles, tendons and fascia. Deep tissue massage is used to release chronic muscle tension through slower strokes and more direct deep pressure or friction applied across the grain of the muscles not with the grain. Deep tissue massage helps to break up and eliminate scar tissue. Deep tissue massage usually focuses on more specific areas and may cause some soreness during or right after the massage. However, if the massage is done correctly you should feel better than ever within a day or two.
